Building Stronger Skills. Creating Greater Opportunities.
TAMPA, FL — August 19, 2026 — Small businesses represent more than 99% of all businesses in the United States, yet winning government and institutional contracts requires more than simply providing a great service. It takes preparation, an understanding of the procurement process, strong relationships, and the ability to negotiate with confidence.
That is exactly why the team at Sahay’s Scientific Services LLC (SSS) continues to invest in learning, professional development, and new opportunities for growth.
On August 19, members of the SSS team participated in “Level Up: Bidding, Contracting & Negotiation Tips,” an engaging business development program presented by the Hillsborough County Small Business Enterprises (SBE) Division, in partnership with CareerSource Tampa Bay.

The Tampa-based program brought together local business owners, professionals, experienced speakers, and community resources with one common objective: helping small businesses become better prepared to compete for contracting opportunities.
Turning Knowledge Into Opportunity
Winning a contract rarely begins when a bid is submitted.
It starts much earlier.
Businesses need to understand what agencies and organizations are looking for, carefully evaluate contract requirements, communicate their capabilities clearly, build relationships, and submit proposals that demonstrate both value and credibility.
Throughout the program, experienced speakers and panelists shared practical perspectives on competitive bidding, contracting requirements, negotiation strategies, procurement, relationship building, and positioning a company for future opportunities.
For SSS, the value of attending goes well beyond a single training session.
The company is continuing to strengthen its capabilities in public-sector contracting, procurement, regulatory compliance, environmental consulting, and strategic business development. Understanding how contracting organizations evaluate potential partners can help SSS compete more effectively while maintaining the scientific and professional standards at the heart of the company.
Learning Today. Competing Stronger Tomorrow.
“Continuous learning is essential for sustainable business growth,” said Dr. Rajiv Sahay, Managing Partner & CEO of Sahay’s Scientific Services LLC. “You can have tremendous technical expertise, but you also have to understand how to communicate that expertise, navigate the contracting process, and build trusted relationships. This program gave us additional tools and perspectives that we can put to work as we pursue future opportunities.”
That mindset reflects an important part of the SSS culture: never stop learning.
Technical expertise matters. Experience matters. Credentials matter.
But so does understanding the business side of delivering that expertise.
By participating in programs such as this one, SSS is building upon its scientific capabilities with stronger contracting, negotiation, procurement, and relationship-building skills.
And that can translate into something much bigger—more partnerships, stronger proposals, greater opportunities, and ultimately the ability to serve more organizations and communities.
Science, Service and Stronger Partnerships
Sahay’s Scientific Services LLC provides specialized professional services supporting environmental health and hygiene, indoor air quality (IAQ), indoor environmental quality (IEQ), environmental microbiology, aerobiology, and related environmental consulting needs.
Organizations depend on sound scientific information to make better decisions about the environments in which people work, learn, live, and gather. SSS approaches those challenges by combining scientific knowledge with practical, real-world solutions.
At the same time, the company recognizes that sustainable growth is built through collaboration.
That means developing relationships with public agencies, businesses, institutions, contractors, community organizations, and other professional partners that share a commitment to healthier and safer environments.
Programs like “Level Up” help make those relationships—and the opportunities that come with them—stronger.
For the SSS team, August 19 wasn’t simply another day of training.
It was another investment in the future.
Learn more. Prepare better. Build stronger relationships. Compete with confidence.
That is how small businesses level up.
